White mold is an important yield-limiting disease in many years and especially in 2014. Michigan State University Extension conducts efficacy trials, as well as other research on white mold at the Montcalm Research Center annually. This research center provides an excellent environment to produce consistent white mold disease pressure as several host crops are grown at this facility and irrigation is available and used to stimulate the disease. Join us Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Montcalm Research Center for an excellent opportunity to observe first-hand many of the fungicides being used to combat this disease. MSU’s Martin Chilvers will lead the tour of the plots and will be available for discussion.

This is a free event, but we do request that you pre-register by Monday, Sept. 15 before noon so we can plan accordingly for this event. You can register by contacting the Montcalm County MSU Extension office at 989-831-7500 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

The Montcalm Research Center is located at 4747 Mc Brides Road, Lakeview, MI 48850. Travel 3.5 miles west of Stanton, Michigan on Stanton Road to Grow Road, then 3 miles north to McBrides Road and then 1.2 miles west on McBrides Road.
